Our herbs grow wild in the untouched and remote Westfjords of Iceland, where they develop slowly under extreme and unforgiving conditions. In this environment - the soil being extremely cold and the summers very short - the herbs develop potent bioactive compounds that translate directly into the efficacy of our skincare.
And, since being positioned in the Westfjords, which are even colder and more barren than the rest of Iceland, our herbs are even more potent than in other parts of the country.
Each herb is carefully chosen for it's unique healing properties and hand-harvested at its peak potency. Hand-harvesting allows us to select only the finest herbs, minimise impact on the ecosystem, and ensure a level of quality that cannot be achieved through mechanical harvesting.

Herbalists of Olden
Long before modern skincare, the herbalists of old walked these same rugged landscapes, guided by seasons, instinct, and a deep respect for nature’s rhythms.
They gathered what the land offered sparingly; learning which plants soothed, which restored, and which protected against the harsh northern elements.
Knowledge was passed quietly from generation to generation and to our founder, Aðalbjörg. Our work continues this tradition; honoring the herbal wisdom of those who came before while combining it with modern research.
